Accuracy
We try very hard to post accurate information about our merchandise. Measurements are typically accurate to within 1/4.
However, due to the high volume of unique items we process each day, we do make occasional measurement mistakes. We suggest that you personally check all measurements before making a purchase.
Also please use common sense and realize that a door listed as 80 wide and 32 tall probably has had the dimensions transposed, and that a bathtub whose length is listed as 5 was probably meant to have feet as the unit.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience erroneous dimensions may cause.
Searching by Item Dimension
You may search our database for items of a particular size by specifying a minimum and a maximum dimension.
For example if you need a 30 cabinet you could enter 29 and 31 as the dimension search terms (and select Cabinet from the category list). This search will find not only 30 cabinets, but also 29.75 cabinets and 30.25 cabinets. Used building materials come in many non-unit sizes and it pays to be slightly flexible in your searches.
Each item listed on our site may have up to 3 searchable dimensions. For example a cabinet might have width, height and depth. Searching by dimension will find items for which ANY of the three dimensions is within the specified range. Thus searching for a cabinet between 29 and 31 will find cabinets 30 wide, but will also find cabinets 30 high. Unfortunately, at this time you can NOT specify to search only by height, or only by width.
Please note when searching by dimension that NOT entering both a minimum and a maximum size could result in bizarre search results.
Units
Most items are measured in inches. Thus a 30 door would be in our system as 36.
Some categories use dimension units other than inches. For example furnaces are measured by BTU, and some refrigerators are measured by cubic foot.
You do not need to specify the units when searching.
To see what units we use for a particular type of inventory please find a representative item and look at the description. We will use consistent units for all items of the same category.
