2010 Salvage Art Contests

These contests are a celebration of all that is great about salvage - the search, the inspiration, and the unexpected result.  So, pull out your paintbrush or hammer and get to work on creating the next great salvage masterpiece.

Contest #1 Salvage Design Challenge

(Project Gallery) Show off images of a recent construction, building, or remodeling project that used salvage materials: a home, business, outbuilding, or any design project.  The submission should include one to four photos printed on an 8 1/2" card stock page, ready for hanging.

Contest #2 The Art of Salvage

(Original Artwork) Painting, sculpture, mixed media, and portable functional objects created using salvage materials--go crazy. Second Use materials are encouraged but not required.  The piece should be easy to move and display at Second Use.  Wall hung art must be ready to hang; wires/hooks firmly attached to piece. Provide a pedestal for sculpture if possible. Larger works will be displayed subject to space available.
