Donate your Used Building Materials to Raise Money for Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity Affiliates.
Last year, donations to HFH raised more than $200,000 – that’s enough to build 2 homes!Second Use has been working with Habitat for Humanity since 1998 to raise funds for affordable housing. When a person donates building materials to Habitat for Humanity through Second Use, proceeds from the sale of these items go to a local Habitat for Humanity affiliate.
Give Second Use a call – no matter how big or how small your project may be. Depending on the quality and quantity of your materials, you may be able to bring the items to the Second Use store and arrange a donation to benefit your local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. In some cases, you can even schedule a pick-up or have our salvage crew remove items directly from your building.
Habitat for Humanity: Building More than just Houses
Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity chapters strive to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness in the region, by providing shelter with a conscience. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner families. Habitat houses are sold to families at no profit and are financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat houses.
By making a donation to Habitat through Second Use, you are helping to provide valuable resources that make Habitat projects possible. The Habitat community is growing each year--so do your part to become involved and make a difference!
