Second Use & Habitat for Humanity
Donate your used building materials to raise money for Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity affiliates.
Last year, material donations through Second Use to HFH raised about $200,000
Do you have a remodeling or demolition project in the near future? Are you hoping for a clean slate with an old room? Want to support Habitat for Humanity at the same time?
Second Use can help! We provide a distinctive service to local Habitat for Humanity affiliates by salvaging reusable materials from your jobsite, which are then sold to benefit Habitat for Humanity. Your old materials find a new use, Habitat for Humanity gets funds for providing affordable housing, and you get a donation receipt for the materials.
If you have a project coming up, whether a kitchen remodel or a full house re-do, contact us! We can talk through your project with you and figure out the best way to save materials. We are a licensed and insured contractor with a lot of experience recovering materials for reuse.
Call us at 206-763-6929, choose x4 for “Salvage Services,” and tell our staff that you are interested in donating materials to benefit Habitat for Humanity. Or click here to contact our Salvage Services staff via webform.
Habitat for Humanity: building more than just houses
Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity chapters strive to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness in the region, by providing shelter with a conscience. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner families. Habitat houses are sold to families at no profit and are financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat houses.
By making a donation to Habitat through Second Use, you are helping to provide valuable resources that make Habitat projects possible. The Habitat community is growing each year, so do your part to become involved and make a difference!
