Donations
Second Use accepts donations of usable building materials, which are sold to raise money for local Habitat for Humanity chapters. Since 1998, donations to Second Use have raised almost a half million dollars for Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity Affiliates. These contributions have helped the chapters build decent and affordable housing for families throughout the region. By donating materials to Second Use, you too can help Habitat make a difference in your community!
Do you have a remodeling or demolition project in the near future? Are you hoping for a clean slate with an old room? Or are you just trying to get rid of a few items that have spent too much time your basement?
Give Second Use a call--no matter how big or how small your project may be. Depending on the quality and quantity of your materials, you may be able to bring the items to the Second Use store and arrange to make a donation to benefit your local Habitat for Humanity chapter. In some cases, you can even schedule a pick-up or strip-out.
Habitat for Humanity: Building More than just Houses
Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity chapters strive to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness in the region, by providing shelter with a conscience. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner families.
Habitat houses are sold to families at no profit and are financed with affordable, no-interest loans. The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat houses.
By making a donation to Second Use, you are helping to provide valuable resources that make Habitat projects possible. The Habitat community is growing each year--so do your part to become involved and make a difference!
