Quick Facts About the Move

Who: Second Use Building Materials

What: We've moved!

When: We opened the new store Thursday, Oct. 11.

Where: 3223 6th Ave. S., Seattle, 98134 (SoDo). The location is on 6th and Horton, just north of the West Seattle Bridge and just west of I-5. Note, if coming down 1st Avenue or 4th Avenue, you can cut over only on Lander and Spokane St. The site is the former Alaskan Copper building, just south of the Franz Bakery sign.

Why: It really comes down to space and accessibility. Second Use has been in its South Park location for the past 15 years and has greatly enjoyed our community. However, over the last three years, we've been struggling to grow the business with limited space, strung between multiple facilities. In the new SoDo location, we'll be under one roof, with more room for materials and room to grow. Plus, it will surprise no one that an easier-to-find location will be a very good thing for us and our customers. The move will allow us to serve our customers better, create more jobs, and of course divert more reusable materials from the landfill.
