Coat/hat/shoe rack - by Jim Allen

Door was originally white. Dark brown is natural patina
Would have preferred used hardware."Anatomically correct" shaped seat. Glued up in S-shaped jig. Stained to match

To help reduce coat and shoe clutter and a number of unsightly nails in our cabin walls, I made this rack with bench seat. Upright piece is a salvaged 2-6 x 6-0, 5-panel fir door, mortised and through-tenoned to “virgin” T&G 3-1/4” vertical–grain fir flooring. Bench and shelves are same material.
