We can only accept items that people are likely to reuse. The guidelines below are general, but market conditions fluctuate and exceptions exist. We strongly encourage you to contact us before bringing in material. We may be able to pick it up or tell you it does not qualify and save you making a special trip.
We inspect all material and will reject unsatisfactory or overstocked items as necessary.

General Criteria
1). All items must be in good reusable condition.
We will NOT take items:
DAMAGED beyond repair
Requiring excessive ASSEMBLY
INCOMPLETE or missing parts
2). Un-safe or hazardous items are not accepted.
We can NOT accept:
Items containing hazardous materials such as PCBs or Asbestos
Chemicals (paint, glue, caulk etc.)
Appliances
In most cases, we do not accept appliances older than 5 years, however we may extend this requirement for appliances that are high-end or in extraordinary condition.
We will not take appliances that have cut cords.
Appliances must have all of their pieces and parts.
We will not accept appliances that have been recalled: Click here for a list of recently recalled refrigerators.
Doors
Condition Requirements
Must be free of rot, bowing, twisting, and structural damage
Must not have holes, deep gouges, or abnormal alterations

Must be free of rot, bowing, twisting, and structural damage
Thermopane seals must be intact - i.e. NO FOGGING
Aluminum and Vinyl windows must be in excellent condition

Cabinets
Condition Requirements
Must be structurally sound. No splitting at joints.
Must have all drawers and doors attached and intact. We will not usually accept cabinets whose doors have been removed.

Generic particle board cabinets from 1960s and 1970s.
Cabinets without backs
Cabinets over 6' length or height
Blind corner cabinets, or other awkward configurations

Bathtubs
Condition Requirements
Must be free of chips, cracks and rust on visible porcelain surfaces (except clawfoot and antique tubs)
Should be white (some exceptions made)
Should be cast iron or Americast

Steel or Fiberglass Tubs (must be new or almost new)
Colored tubs
Clawfoot Tubs without any feet
Large jetted tubs and spas (must be in excellent condition)

Sinks
Condition Requirements
Must be free of chips, cracks (even hairline) and rust (some allowance for vintage sinks)
Stainless Steel sinks must be free of dents or damage
Free standing sinks must have legs

Any color other than white, off white, or stainless
Generic wall mounted sinks

Must be free of chips and cracks (even hairline)
Should have functional inner hardware (some allowance for vintage)
White color preferred, unless item is of exceptional quality or vintage
Must be low-flow, unless it is a unique vintage piece

Must be 6 feet or longer
Must be free of rot, excessive checking, twisting, bowing, cracking and crowning
Plywood must be flat and at least 1/2 sheet

Wood with nails (a few nails is OK)
Large Beams (call for our current capacity)
Sheetgoods other than plywood or OSB
Engineered wood products (fingerjointed, TGI's, etc.)

Pieces must be longer than 2 feet
Must be free of rot, excessive checking, twisting, bowing, cracking and crowning
Tongues and grooves must be intact
Denailed and bundled preferred
Must be within 1/16 inch of full original thickness

Quantities less than 100sf

Engineered flooring (i.e. Pergo) unless new in package and 100sf+
