Saturday April 2nd, 2022 from 10am-11:30pm

This workshop has been postponed. We will add the rescheduled date when we know it.

While the rest of the state may not be getting a new “missing middle” zoning change, the City of Seattle and others in King County do allow for some Accessory Dwelling Units to be built on single-family zoned lots. The options for these ADUs are only limited by the imagination. These units could be used to house renters or extended family, but also home offices or other bonus spaces. Come learn a few basics on what an owner needs to think about before jumping in on an AADU (attached) or DADU (detached) project, and why building material reuse is a perfect resource for when you decide to move forward with a new dwelling or bonus space on your property.

Doug Elfline and Laura Elfline of Mighty House Construction will lead this discussion on how you might take advantage of these zoning options in our city.

This workshop will be presented in person at our Seattle store.
