This piece once belonged to Tacoma's own Willits Brothers Canoe Co. Makers of a highly sought after "double planked" canoe design that was constructed from early 00s until the mid 60s. Very cool piece of Pierce County industrial, and canoe building history. Learn more about it here! Note: several Willits experts reviewed this material as items from the workshop that were not critical to telling the story of the Willitis Brothers (hence why we have it and not the museum). Most of their collection is in a museum's collection now.
