Live Edge Blue Fir Plank
Salvaged by the same sustainability-focused team that brings in the famed teredo clam lumber, this fir is sourced from creosote-free, untreated submerged dock pilings at the South end of Lake Washington, and has been newly milled and kiln dried. All those years in the water has permeated much of the wood with a distinct black/blue “stain” without causing any loss of structural integrity. Unlike wood that’s simply been weathered by sun and wind, you can sand and cut straight down to what you want without disturbing the storied tone. Local, reclaimed, and imbued with years of quiet duty.
