Sanded Teredo Fir Slab
Locally milled & kiln dried, reclaimed, hand-sanded double-live edge cut of old growth hemlock that was formerly submerged in local saltwaters & used in the Pacific Northwest timber transport trade. Fantastic stock for all sorts of projects. Traces of life long gone can seen here, from the beautiful channels left behind by the seafaring teredo clam to the tiny punctuations of the gribbles who settle in afterward - the handiwork of annelids, mollusks and arthropods have all been made visible. Keep the sea by your side and embrace that Northwest style! Please note: dimensions are approximate, and width will vary with the natural contours of the wood.
