Cabrini Hospital TerraCotta Medallion
Cabrini Hospital Glazed Architectural TerraCotta Medallion. This is from the old Cabrini Hospital on Boren & Madison, which was known as "The Perry" apartments or hotel before it was converted into a hospital. This building was heavily salvaged before demo in the 1990s, and a few of its iconic pieces still find their way through Second Use from time to time. It looks to be the medallion above the bay windows on the building, visable in the hospitals tax photo taken in the 30's. The piece is constructed of fired clay terracotta block to form this oval design, which was probably influenced by the Beaux-Arts architecture style. We are excited to see this PNW gem in our shop, and would love to see where it ends up next! Email us pics to [email protected] if you take this beauty home!
