This rough-sawn fir beam features tight grain, and saw marks that exemplifies the iconic 'Barnwood' look. This came to use from an old warehouse deconstruction in Ballard, and has been cut to about 8ft long. They sure don't make beams like this one anymore... Use caution if you cut it down further as there are some old nails still embedded in the wood. Great candidate for a exposed joist in your cabin, as a mantel beam or simply mill down and use this gorgeous fir in some other project!
