This neon Old Navy sign is pretty classic as far as design goes - white aluminum with blue plastic letter faces. Each letter is individually wired with its own switch. If you don't have need for this as is you could strip it down and use the letters individually. All of the letters currently function, but the "V" bypasses its switch and will need a longer wire if you would like the switch to be functional.
