We sold this rough sawn 1 1/2x3 teredo clam wood to someone who put a dark stain on it. If the stain isn't your thing, maybe run it through a thickness planer so the holes have the dark stain and the face is light. Could look pretty sharp??? Usually Douglas fir, but could be hemlock, cedar or maybe even Sitka spruce. Dimensions are approximate.
