Rough Sawn 1×4 Blue Fir
$ 1.95/LF
Salvaged by the same sustainability-focused team that brings in the famed teredo clam lumber, this fir was sourced from creosote-free, untreated, submerged dock pilings at the South end of Lake Washington, and has been newly milled and kiln dried. All those years in the water has permeated much of the wood with a distinct black/blue “stain” without causing any loss of structural integrity. Unlike wood that’s simply been weathered by sun and wind, you can sand and cut straight down to what you want without disturbing the storied tone. Local, reclaimed, and imbued with years of quiet duty. Milled at true 1" x 4". This is a bulk item, sold by the linear foot, no holds -- come down to the shop and get the ones you like!
