Box of Rudder Parts Jigs

$ 45.00

This is a box of vintage rudder parts jigs, samples, other hardware/tools originally used in the construction of canoes. Looks like there are some nice little wood chunks in here including cedar, mahogany, and other hardwoods, all from the Willits Brothers original shop. Great for projects other than boats!

This comes from Tacoma's own Willits Brothers Canoe Co. Makers of a highly sought after "double planked" canoe design that was constructed until the mid 60s. Very cool piece of Pierce County industrial, and canoe building history. Learn more about it here! Please note that several Willits experts reviewed the material as items from the workshop that were not critical to telling the story of the Willits Brothers (hence why we have it and not the museum). Most of their collection is in the museum's property now.
