Vintage Wood Steam Box
$ 75.00
This wood bending steam box is just missing the top cover piece but is otherwise solid and ready to make your own wood (or composite decking) bending setup. It once belonged to Tacoma's own Willits Brothers Canoe Co. Makers of a highly sought after "double planked" canoe design that was constructed until the mid 60s. Very cool piece of Pierce County industrial, and canoe building history. Learn more about it here! Note: several Willits experts reviewed this material as items from the workshop that were not critical to telling the story of the Willitis Brothers (hence why we have it and not the museum). Most of their collection is in a museum's collection now.
