GE ‘Dial The Fabric’ Automatic Iron
$ 45.00
Functioning GE 'Automatic Dial The Fabric Iron' from a supplier who had a knack for preserving old things. Not only does this iron still heat up, its cord is in pristine condition, it comes in its original box AND has some instructions and literature that describes how, 'The electric iron is one of the greatest "little conveniences" in the farm household." The brochure also indicates that this iron became available around the time when The Rural Electrification Administration/USDA was bringing electricity to farms, beginning in 1935 as part of the New Deal. Wild. My guess is that this iron is from the WWII era
