Antique Children’s Print

$ 35.00

Seems to be out of some sort of children's lesson, entitled "The Sheep. Four birds sat on a tree, when two sheep drew near to hear their songs. What ugly beasts cried one bird. Say not so, we ought to pity them said his mate, for men rob them of their wool, and kill them for food." Lovely illustration, even though it may end badly for the sheep. Looks to be an antique illustration circa 1880s, no glass.
