Ballard Shipyard Blue Fir Shiplap
Sold by the linear foot: reclaimed old growth doug fir shiplap, locally milled from sunken untreated dock pilings, freshly kilned and surfaced. Originally set at the Ballard Pacific Fishermen Shipyard in 1930, they're in a new form and man are they beautiful! The unique subtle blue tint is caused by the decades submerged in freshwater; the tone is calm & functions as a visual reminder of the history embedded in the wood. Most boards are 8', a few are shorter. We currently have this material at both of our locations, but it is limited in supply, so don't wait too long! As this is a bulk item, it cannot be put on hold. Come see us in person and we'll get you to it. Please note, the coloration is naturally occurring and very inconsistent between boards.
