Antique Balopticon Projector
The Balopticon, aside from having a delightfully sinister moniker, is an antique predecessor of the overhead projector by Bausch and Lomb. This one is in beautiful condition. It's had new cords put on it and its bulb fired right up when plugged in and started smelling like toasting spiderwebs, so I unplugged it.
“The balopticon is an evil, inartistic, habit-forming, lazy, and vicious machine. It is also a useful, timesaving, practical, and helpful one. I use it often — and am thoroughly ashamed of it. I hide it whenever I hear people coming.” — Norman Rockwell, Rockwell on Rockwell: How I Make A Picture Whether you're a Bosch & Lomb Fan and just want the insignias, or an optics person interested in lenses, or any other application you might have for a well-appointed antique fixture, get your hands on this one while it remains!
