Industrial Ship Light

$ 325.00

Industrial steel lantern with fresnel lens. Base is marked "Crouse-Hinds Flashlight Condulet." This very cool light probably came off a ship. The sharp edges of the fresnel lens were used to refract light long distances to increase visibility. (Similar ridges are used on lighthouses.) In researching this, the closest lights I could find were very old, from around 1930s. Would make a very cool porch light or statement wall sconce in an entry hall for that maritime look.
