Each month, Second Use diverts 60-100 tons of reusable materials from the waste stream and resells them at affordable prices to the public.

We have field crews on the road 5 days a week to remove and/or pick-up materials from homes, jobsites, and companies. We also have a 6,000 square foot receiving area open 7 days a week for material drop-off.

With more than 20,000 square feet of shopping space in our Seattle store, there's a good chance you'll find something you need (and probably some things you don't need).

Every day homeowners, artists, contractors, junkers, designers, and architects, peruse our ever-changing inventory of vintage architectural pieces and contemporary building materials.

There are currently more than 3,000 items on our online inventory. Those listings are only a fraction of what we currently have in store, so if you can't find what you're looking for, make sure to give us a call: 206-763-6929. We may be able to help you find what you need.

Material moves quickly, so we update the online inventory daily. Keep checking back!

It is time again for the Second Use Salvage Art Contests, part of our 5th annual Fall Festival on September 27th. This is a great opportunity to show off your creative side and your favorite salvage project:

Contest #1 The Art of Salvage
Paintings, sculptures, modern art – whatever you want! Build a masterpiece from any found or salvaged materials (Second Use materials strongly encouraged). The possibilities are endless. No photographs will be accepted for this contest – you must submit a physical piece of art.

Contest #2 The Art of Building
Show off your stunning remodel, an outdoor oasis, or a refurbished cabinet. This contest celebrates do-it-yourself projects that have used salvaged materials in a creative way. Contrary to our past art contests, this will be the only one where photos are accepted (and encouraged) in place of a physical submission.

This contest is dedicated to Tim McNeil, a loyal Second Use customer and avid salvager who passed away last summer. His projects can be seen throughout South Park and are a testament to the artistry that salvaged materials can inspire. Winning entries will be profiled on our new website, which goes live in October.
