This would be one hell of a dinner bell to call the kids home with. Made by the Perin & Gaff Mfg Company (who I believe went out of business before the start of the 20th Century, the latest accounting I can find of them is a Supreme Court Case in 1888) with some work from the American Foundry Company (that seems to have started in the last 6 years of the 19th Century), it's had to have some DIY repairs. The holding bracket broke at some point and had a strut attached to fix it, and the mounting plate has a break on it as well- though it does appear that you could fix this up. It doesn't have the clapper (though we do sell various heavy metal objects...) and has been painted silver to cover the cast iron, which has rusted through the paint a bit.
