I"m not a stone expert, but this piece of countertop that's finished on all sides (sans the chipped off corner) doesn't seem like marble or granite. It feels a little "softer", which is leading me to think it might be limestone. Dimensions listed are for the rectangle. The chip takes ~8 1/2" from width & 11" from length. Shows some minor cosmetic wear from use. Wide enough to cut two pieces of "countertop depth" material from it.
