1850 Bronze Renaissance Style Chenets

Stunning pair of fireplace chenets with bronze face and legs and iron plate backing/log supports. These were produced in France in the 1850s in the renaissance style. Each has unique adornments with beautifully expressive faces; on one side a serious-looking bearded fellow, grape leaf and lion's paw and on the other a flower-crowned woman, angelic baby and lion's paw. I found one other pair online listed for $3,200.
