Antique Harris & Stanwood Argand Lamp

This stunning bronze lamp is an antique Harris & Stanwood Argand lamp that was converted to electric somewhere along the way. Harris & Stanwood operated under that name from roughly 1839 - 1850, making this beauty 170+ years old and still in excellent condition. Originally, it likely had hurricanes instead of candelabra sleeves and shades, but the shades they were replaced with match the bronze body to a T. The wiring is older and doesn't have a ground, but it did appear to be functioning just fine when tested in house.
