Howitzer Ammo Crate

A big ol' ammo crate that was used to transport ammunition for M2A1, M2A2, M103, and M137 Howitzers at some point from the second world war through the Vietnam war. It' had some moisture that trapped in it when it arrived to us, but is otherwise in good condition. It has rope handles on either side and a latch that was likely added at some point in the intervening years.
