Vintage Estey Travelling Organ

$ 295.00

This is a bit of a unique one, folks. This is a pump organ made by the Estey Organ Company some time likely around the 1940s- these travelling organs were made primarily for missionaries but saw heavy use by military chaplains in and around WW2, though the Estey Company began producing them sometime in the 1880s. This one is designed to fold up into a carrying case to allow easy storage and handling. It's in good shape, though the institution which previously owned it drilled some screws to prevent it folding, but they're easily removable. Aside from those screws, there isn't any clear damage, it could maybe use a bit of a tune-up, but the bellows pumped and made their noise when we tried it out. Similar travelling organs sell nowadays for anywhere from $400 to around $1K.. Read more about this project here.
