On the surface, this may look like a humble wooden trunk with some cool hardware and a charmingly weathered finish. Look within and you'll realize that this formidable wooden box has so much more to offer. It's incredibly well built from some sort of solid Southeast Asian hardwood, perhaps Jatoba or Teak. The hasp and corner straps are solid brass with subtle hammered detailing. Within the trunk, though, is the real gem. There's an incredibly subtle secret compartment beneath another easily accessible compartment. It has a rather convincing antique look, but we believe this is a reproduction dating roughly 30 - 50 years back. Regardless of its age, this is the kind of piece that you will treasure for many, many years to come.
