Locally milled from an heirloom Maple tree in Tukwila that was on the golf course. Has cured in dry storage for over a decade. The tree had been storm damaged too many times over the years and had to be taken down. The whole tree was incredibly figured and some areas developed crazy spalting. At the time it was the oldest Maple in Tukwila. A few large slabs were used to make the dining hall tables at two Tukwila fire stations. This slab has an incredible amount of figure!!!! Tapers in width from 18" to 15". Roughsawn but very flat.
