This triangular, stained glass panel is one of ten in a series called The Light Garden created by local artist Carrie Grey of Color.Glass.Light. This set is quite special as expressed by the artist in her own words:

While grieving the unexpected and tragic loss of my 12-year-old child, I reached out to my glass community with a heartfelt request: to send me their favorite pieces of transparent sheet glass, rondels, and glass jewels in rich, peacock-inspired hues.

Using these donated materials, I created two series of stained glass panels, "The Eight” and "Filson," each featuring abstracted peacock feathers. Long seen as symbols of transformation, peacock feathers speak to the ability to turn sorrow into strength, and darkness into light. These panels became my way of channeling grief into beauty—an act of remembrance, resilience, and alchemy.
