Locally milled & kiln dried, reclaimed, wood (possibly Hemlock in this case)that was formerly submerged in local saltwaters & used in the Pacific Northwest timber transport trade. Traces of life long gone can be seen here, from the beautiful channels left behind by the seafaring teredo clam to the tiny punctures of the gribbles who settled in afterward - the handiwork of annelids, mollusks, and anthropoids have all been made visible.
