We rejoice in carrying burlap sacks. And we still have them and mass quantity, as our supply is a strong as Seattle’s coffee dependency. At just $1.50 a sack, they are great for the home, garden, or crafts.

The Journal Newspapers interviewed staff and customers at Second Use for an article about our company in 2010. The article highlighted both the environmental and creative impacts of using salvaged materials in home design and showed off some pretty exciting projects from our customers and from the recent Salvage Arts Contests.

This month in 2010, we recognized our former co-worker and dear friend, Chris Foss, who had recently celebrated his last day at Second Use. He was already sorely missed, but we were excited that he was committing full-time to further growing his own business, which has blossomed and has even hosted estate sales at Second Use!
