A big and beautiful birch dining table that's got three leaves to extend it, each of which adds 1 foot to its length. There's a paper maker's mark stapled to the underside that identifies both the manufacturer (the Thomasville Chair Co.) and the local business that sold it (Grinnell & Mclean Co.). I estimate that this piece was manufactured sometime in the 1950s, as the manufacturer changed their name to the Thomasville Furniture Co in the early '60s, and the only reference I could find online to the Grinnell & Mclean Co was this catalogue dated September 1957.
