An elegant hand-thrown porcelain jar made by local ceramicist Michael McCullough (1957-2012). This jar is unsigned but came to us with a collection of work by McCullough. It has timeless, clean lines, and a soft white glaze that is just the right amount of imperfect, with a few brown inclusions and all over crazing. The gentle ripples of the artist's skilled throwing invite you to touch! Sadly this vessel is missing its lid, but it's lovely and functional on its own and could be used as a vase or crock.
