A stunning antique bed frame featuring bird's eye maple veneer with burl panels and ornate marquetry inlay. Finely detailed solid brass accents of scrolling vines, fruits, and Bacchanalian faces adorn each corner and the peak of the headboard. There is no maker's mark, but based on the stenciling on the backside of each piece as well as the construction methods, this piece easily dates to the very early 1900s if not even earlier! A more recent owner has evidently given the supports a revamp, as it came with some fresh braces and added reinforcements on the interior frame - no need to worry about wobbles!
