Stern Seat Slat Jigs

$ 20.00

Jigs for milling stern seat slats, #10-S6, #10-S7, and #10-S20, originally used in the construction of canoes from the Willits Brothers original shop. Longest piece is 30".

This comes from Tacoma's own Willits Brothers Canoe Co. Makers of a highly sought after "double planked" canoe design that was constructed until the mid 60s. Very cool piece of Pierce County industrial, and canoe building history. Learn more about it here! Please note that several Willits experts reviewed the material as items from the workshop that were not critical to telling the story of the Willits Brothers (hence why we have it and not the museum). Most of their collection is in the museum's property now.
